The Men Who Care of Germantown is proud to announce that we have been selected as one of the recipients of the Anti-Violence Community Partnership Grant (AVCPG), awarded by the Office of Public Safety (OPS).
This important investment supports organizations working in communities most affected by the ongoing gun violence crisis. This year, OPS has committed $24 million in funding to 147 organizations dedicated to healing, empowerment, and community-driven solutions.
Through this partnership, The Men Who Care of Germantown will receive not only financial support but also technical assistance and expert guidance from OPS and leaders in nonprofit management. These resources will help us continue our mission to foster safety, unity, and opportunity throughout Germantown and beyond.

We are deeply grateful for this recognition and the continued opportunity to serve and uplift our community. Together, we stand committed to reducing violence and building a brighter future for all.

The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office's Violence Prevention Grant recipient, Men Who Care of Germantown, recently donated 16 new suits to graduating seniors at MLK High School as a part of the community-based organization's "Suit Up Initiative." The program is designed to equip students with more than just clothing, but confidence for the future. The exceptional seniors also received $500 scholarships. Shout out to the Men Who Care of Germantown team who are doing the work to support and encourage our city's brilliant students!
The non-profit is a May 2024 recipient of the Philadelphia District Attorney's and Government Affairs Division's Violence Prevention Grant. The DAO has awarded community-based organizations more than $5.5 million dollars in violence prevention grants since 2021.
